The light is pretty dim in this part of the Institute. It comes filtering in from arched windows at the end of the corridor. There's dirt and stains from years of rain on the outside. You can hear the noise of life going on, but can't see out. There are four doors leading off this part of the corridor. Each one of them has a small brass plaque at about eye height. [[Design Studio]] [[The Archive]] [[The Shop]] [[Within]] The door opens gently as you step into the Design Studio. There's light! Everywhere! A very brightly lit room with a huge workbench in the middle of the room. Around the sides are cupboards and surfaces covered in paper designs, woodworking tools, parts of what could be successful (or failed experiments). Everywhere the signs of activity and creativity. A laptop hums in the corner. There is a cup of damn fine coffee by the laptop that is still hot. Good music plays quietly in the background. If I didn't know better, I'd think somebody was just here. [[Leave the Room->deeper into the institute]] The door is stiff, but opens with a shoulder nudge. You creak open the door and enter The Archive. The room is calm and peaceful. All four walls are covered in bookshelves which are covered in books. There's two free-standing bookshelves in the middle of the room back to back covered in more books. One of the books sticks out slightly more than the others. On one side there is a small table with a lamp on it and a wingback chair for reading. On the small table is what looks like a magazine. [[Leave the Room->deeper into the institute]]You swing open the door and enter The Shop. You emerge from the back of the shop and are standing behind the counter. On one side of the shop is an open book in a glass case. On the other side is a shelf full of books. In the corner is a small rack hanging with t-shirts. You can go and take a look at them, if you like? There is nobody in the shop. The sign on the door tells the outside world it is closed. You can se a poster on the window that says NOOS GNINEPO. [[Leave the Room->deeper into the institute]]The door appears to be locked. There is a small sign hanging from the latch that says in small, neat handwriting: //"we are working on it" // [[Back to the doors->deeper into the institute]]
